REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED
The Nevada Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics welcomes the incoming PL1 pediatric residents from Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. Contact ED@NevadaAAP.org with questions.
Attendees are welcome starting at 4:45 pm and can stay exploring the exhibits until the museum closes at 9 pm.
We have reserved a private room where snacks and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for attendees from 4:45 - 7:30. There are a few cash bars in the museum where attendees can purchase beer or wine and bring it back to our private space. Cocktails must be consumed in the museum's bar called The Underground.
All attendees are expected in our private event space at 6:45 for an opportunity to introduce yourself and join the group for a very brief presentation about the Nevada AAP.
Other than the formal meeting at 6:45, attendees are welcome to network in our private room or explore the museum as you wish.
More details will be emailed to event attendees prior to the event.
This event is free for pediatric residents from the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, although we ask that you register with your AAP ID by June 13 as space is limited.
Nevada AAP Chapter Members are welcome for $5.
Medical students who are also Nevada Chapter Members can have the $5 fee waived if they volunteer to help at the event.
Nevada AAP Chapter members may bring a guest for $25. Prospective Nevada AAP Chapter members are also welcome for $25. To learn more about who can become a member of the AAP and the Nevada Chapter visit https://services.aap.org/en/membership-application/join-aap/.
The Nevada AAP asks that all guests only attend our event if you have been fully vaccinated. In addition, as The Mob Museum is a public place, we highly recommend that masks be worn while visiting the exhibits.
Please contact Nevada AAP Executive Director Leann McAllister with any questions or concerns at ED@NevadaAAP.org or on her cell 508-685-0918. Chapter members in Reno willing to volunteer to lead efforts to plan a similar networking event in Northern Nevada are encouraged to contact Ms. McAllister.
